I try to think of building an SBI! site as getting a college level degree in online marketing. It may take a couple of years before you understand everything you need to know to get your SBI! business into high gear. And that's perfectly fine!
But once you get that degree and finish your first site, you'll have a skill set that will let you succeed online for years to come. And everyone agrees that the Internet is where the future is. Learning Site Build It! will help you take advantage of that future.

The SBI! Foundation
The reason that Site Build It! sites succeed is they are built on a foundation of sound online marketing principals.
Just putting up a site is not enough. You MUST do the other things that bring traffic to your site and then provide the value that keeps your visitors coming back - and puts them into a buying mood.
SBI! helps you build a relationship with both your site visitors and the Search Engines. Without pleasing the search engines you won't get much traffic. And without pleasing your visitors you won't make many sales. You must do both to succeed online.
So yes it takes many skills and a step-by-step process to succeed. SiteSell doesn't guarantee success. But they do guarantee you'll have everything you need to succeed. The rest is up to you.

Unless your site is a non-profit (and there's nothing wrong with that) your goal is to make money on your site. That means you need to learn how to build credibility with your visitors so when you offer a product or service, you have their trust. That way they'll be more inclined to buy.
As a marketer for over 25 years I think I can help you learn how to become a solution provider on your site. Between the SBI! Forums, SBI! Coaching, SiteSell Services and of course SiteSell Support, you can find help when you need it. I recommend you always try to use these services first.
But sometimes it's nice to have a relationship with a real person... someone who you can talk to when you need help or get a little overwhelmed with a particular task - or maybe are just too busy.
And sometimes it's great to hear a different take on a particular question.
